Departure of first-of-three B2M, multimission vessel of which the building programme is completed by KERSHIP, the joint venture of PIRIOU and DCNS

On Wednesday May 11th at 11:00 am, new B2M multimission vessel D’Entrecasteaux definitely left metropolitan France and Brest, the town of Ponant.

Her crew is sailing westward for a long journey towards New Caledonia they will reach by the end of July. In new home port in Noumea she will be ready for surveillance missions as well as patrol and the protection of the French interests in an Economic Exclusive Zone of over 1.6 millions square metres’.
